Pancakes Boat is a fictional sailing game featuring Captain Pan. Its compressed 5,000-nautical-mile Earth, coastlines, depth, anchoring, visual swell, simulated hurricanes and day/night conditions are not charts, navigation software, official warnings or seamanship training. Optional live weather can add modelled point forecasts and limited radar-derived precipitation nowcast, but it is incomplete, may be delayed or unavailable, and must never be used for real-world marine decisions.

Live versus simulated weather

Seeded simulation is the default. When separately enabled, live wind, clouds, precipitation and pressure come from MET Norway at the yacht's rounded game coordinate. Radar-derived nowcast is available only where MET Norway confirms Nordic radar coverage; no coverage is reported as unavailable, not clear weather. Visual swell, depth and hurricane tracks remain simulated. Data from MET Norway is licensed under CC BY 4.0 and adapted into game states.

Starting near you

If you choose Start near me, your browser may provide a precise coordinate. Pancakes Boat uses it locally and may save the resulting boat position in local browser voyage data. Coastline and nearest-water placement are approximate. This is optional and is not a location service or maritime safety feature.

Fair use

You may play the game for personal entertainment. Do not disrupt the service, attempt unauthorized access, or redistribute the game as your own product.

Availability

The game and live provider data are provided as available. Features and coverage may change as we improve the ocean, boat and missions.

The world chart uses approximate Natural Earth 1:110m land polygons. Natural Earth data is public domain and credited as a courtesy. The map is not for navigation.
